YTL Land and Development appoints Kemmy Tan Peck Mun as CEO

With the leadership change, YTL aims to become the leading property developer in Singapore and the region.

YTL Land & Development Berhad (YTL L&D) on Tuesday announced the immediate appointment of Ms Kemmy Tan Peck Mun as Chief Executive Officer of YTL L&D. In this role, Kemmy will lead the YTL L&D Group’s property portfolio and landbanks in the region, while strategising new avenues for the Group’s future growth and development.

Kemmy joined the YTL Group’s Singapore property development arm, YTL Singapore Pte Ltd, as Director of International Real Estate in June 2008, with the key responsibility of developing the YTL Group’s international real estate projects. She oversaw the YTL Group’s pioneer developments in Singapore – the luxurious Sandy Island villa development and the highly successful Kasara development, both located in Singapore’s iconic Sentosa Cove.

Tan Sri Dr Francis Yeoh Sock Ping, CBE, Managing Director of YTL Corporation said, “The Singapore and regional property market has tremendous growth potential with the rise of personal wealth and growing demand for high-quality, luxury developments. With over 20 years of experience in asset management, investment, marketing, development and operations in the real estate industry, it is a natural transition for Kemmy to spearhead our regional operations in this newly created role.”

“Kemmy’s contribution to YTL Singapore has been significant. Over the last three years, she was a key member driving strategic acquisitions to expand the company’s regional footprint as well as deriving significant sales in our Sentosa Cove developments. Kemmy will take charge of the YTL L&D Group’s enlarged portfolio and landbanks. With her deep understanding of the market, she will lead YTL L&D to become the leading property developer in Singapore and the region,” continued Tan Sri Dr Francis Yeoh.

Prior to joining the YTL Group, Kemmy was the General Manager of Sentosa Cove, Singapore’s pioneer and only integrated marina residential development, responsible for the marketing, development and estate management of the 117-hectare development. She previously held senior marketing and business positions in listed and private entities, including CapitaLand Ltd, Tuan Sing Holdings and Far East Organization, with wide-ranging experience across the residential, commercial, retail and industrial property sectors.

Kemmy graduated from National University of Singapore (NUS) in 1991, where she obtained a Bachelor of Science (Hons) in Estate Management, and also holds a Graduate Diploma in Marketing. She is a council member of the Real Estate Developers’ Association of Singapore (REDAS) Management Committee and the Chairman of its seminar committee. She also sits on the board of directors of YTL Starhill Global REIT Management Limited as an alternate director.

A NOTE FROM SINGAPORE BUSINESS REVIEW

You're the reader we write for. You're also the person our partners want to reach.

If that sentence describes you — a founder, a C-suite, someone whose attention companies pay good money for — then you already understand why SBR works. We've spent twenty years earning the trust of readers exactly like you. Which is exactly what makes this an interesting place for your company to show up, too.

The ways it can show up are broader than most people assume — thought leadership articles, sponsored content, industry summits across Southeast Asia, regional awards programmes, podcasts, and media placements in print and digital. The right fit depends on what you're trying to do, which is why we'd rather start with a conversation than send a rate card.

If your company has something this audience should know about, we'd like to hear what you're working on.

No rate cards until we understand the brief. It's a better use of everyone's time.

30 One-Sentence Stories From People Who Have Built Better Habits
None of these stories are mine. They were sent to me by readers of Atomic Habits. My hope is that these examples will illustrate how real people are putting the book into practice. They will show you what people are actually doing to build good habits and break bad ones. And hopefully, they will spark some ideas for how you can do the same.
