URA extends tender period for Jurong West Street 41 site

Residential site now scheduled to close on January 29.

In a release, the Urban Redevelopment Authority (URA) announced it has extended the tender closing date for the residential site at Jurong West Street 41 (Parcel A) by two weeks from its original closing date on 15 January 2013 to 29 January 2013.

The extension was offered as the Singapore government announced a comprehensive package of measures to cool the property market. "The extension of the tender period for the residential site at Jurong West  Street 41 (Parcel A) will provide more time for prospective tenderers to take into consideration these new measures when submitting their bids," said URA.

The Jurong West Street 41 (Parcel A) residential site has a total site area of 22,357.3 sqm, a permissible gross floor area of 62,601 sqm, and is located within an established residential area near existing condominium developments such as Lakepoint, Lake Holmz, Caspian, Parc Vista, The Lakeshore and the upcoming The Lakefront Residences.

It is well connected to major arterial roads and expressways such as Boon Lay Way, Pan Island Expressway and Ayer Rajah Expressway. With Lakeside MRT Station just a few minutes’ walk away, residents will enjoy convenient access to all parts of the island.

The land parcel is located near existing shopping, dining and entertainment facilities at Jurong Point and JCube, as well as upcoming Jem and Westgate, which are expected to be open in 2013. Other amenities include Jurong East Swimming Complex, Jurong Regional Library and the Ng Teng Fong General Hospital and Jurong Community Hospital. It is also has close proximity to schools such as Jurong Junior College, River Valley High School, Rulang Primary School, Canadian International School and The Nanyang Technological University.
