British & Malayan Trustees appoints Julie Teo Seok Chin as CEO

The company also names Theresa Foo-Yo Mie Yoen as Independent Non-Executive Chairman.

The Board of British & Malayan Trustees announced the appointment of Julie Teo Seok Chin as Chief Executive Officer effective 31 December 2012.

The Board of Directors having considered Ms Teo's qualifications, working experience and credentials, the Board holds the view that Ms Teo is a suitable candidate for the appointment as the CEO of the Company to replace Ms Linda Ho.

Ms Teo, 56, will be responsible for the Company's general operation, overall business operations and administration of the Company.

In the past, she was Managing Director & Head of Wealth Planning Services, Asia of BNP Paribas Wealth Management from April 2008 to October 2012, Managing Director of Bank Sarasin-Rabo (Asia) Limited from August 2006 to March 2008, and Managing Director of Citigroup Private Bank from July 2000 to June 2006.

The Company also Theresa Foo-Yo Mie Yoen as Independent Non-Executive Chairman, according to a British & Malayan Trustees report.

Mrs Foo-Yo, 69, is currently Chairman of The Esplanade since November 2005 and Chairman of Gardens by the Bay since November 2011. Prior to this she was Chairman of BNP Paribas Group (Chairman of BNP Paribas Capital (Singapore) Ltd and BNP Paribas Securities (Singapore) Pte Ltd from September 2001 to December 2009.
