Boustead Projects, YCH reach settlement over lawsuit

This follows a lawsuit filed for an alleged breach of contract.

Boustead Projects Limited entered into a settlement with supply chain solutions company, YCH Holdings on 24 May, according to an SGX filing. The court granted leave to discontinue the suit on 1 June.

This follows YCH’s suit filed in 2018 against Boustead Projects for an alleged breach of its contractual obligations between 2012 and 2014 relating to development project Supply Chain City. YCH asked the court to assess damages amounting to $2.34m.

Boustead Projects said it will provide further updates in relation to the suit.

Richard McClintock, a Latin professor at Hampden-Sydney College in Virginia, looked up one of the more obscure Latin words, consectetur, from a Lorem Ipsum passage, and going through the cites of the word in classical literature, discovered the undoubtable source. Lorem Ipsum comes from sections 1.10.32 and 1.10.33 of "de Finibus Bonorum et Malorum" (The Extremes of Good and Evil) by Cicero, written in 45 BC. This book is a treatise on the theory of ethics, very popular during the Renaissance. The first line of Lorem Ipsum, "Lorem ipsum dolor sit amet..", comes from a line in section 1.10.32.
