Manhattan Resources appoints Low Yi Ngo as CEO and Managing Director

Mr Low has been a Non-executive Director of the Company since 2006 and is familiar with the business of the Group.

The Nominating Committee has reviewed the qualifications and working experience of Mr Low Yi Ngo and has recommended his appointment as the Chief Executive Officer ("CEO") and Managing Director to the Board of Directors to succeed Mr Ho Soo Ching as CEO and Managing Director. The Board of Directors approved his appointments and believe that his appointments are in line with the Company’s management succession plan. 

Mr. Low’s appointments are executive and he will be responsible for the overall business strategy, operations and day-to-day management of the affairs of the Group, according to a Manhattan Resources report.

Mr. Low has been the Marketing Director of PT Bayan Resources Tbk (“Bayan”), a coal mining company listed on the Indonesian Stock Exchange, since his appointment in 2007 and prior to this he undertook a number of key roles in Bayan including project engineer for the construction of a large floating transfer vessel known as the Kalimantan Floating Transfer Station and oversaw project co-ordination and infrastructure development for the Bayan group of companies in Indonesia since 2004.

Mr. Low also managed to secure the long term contract between Bayan and Tuas Power Singapore.

Mr. Low was recently appointed as non-executive director by Kangaroo Resources Limited, a coal mining company listed on the Australian Stock Exchange.
