Keppel DC REIT allots $2b for data centre acquisitions

As of February 2022, the company has 21 data centres across nine countries.

During Keppel DC REIT's Investment Presentation for March 2022, the company said it is focused on growing its data centre portfolio and creating value by accretive investments.

As of February 2022, assets under management have reached $3.5b and comprised 21 data centres across nine countries such as Singapore, Malaysia, Australia, and China.

Potential data centre assets for acquisition have reached over $2b with development and management under Keppel Telecommunications & Transportation.

Moreover, Keppel DC REIT said it will strengthen its foothold in Europe by acquiring the London Data Centre and the Eindhoven Campus in the Netherlands. It will also have its first acquisition in China with the Guangdong Data Centre this year.

The company forecasted it will spend $282.05b (US$207b), a 5.8% increase year-on-year, on its data centres. It said it is also expecting strong demand for data centres in APAC throughout 2022, with 750 MW under construction in Sydney, Hong Kong, Singapore, Tokyo, and Jakarta.
