Individuals upskilling under SSG-supported programmes reach 660,000 in 2021

This is the highest number of participants SSG had since its launch.

The number of Singaporeans upskilling themselves through SkillsFuture Singapore (SSG)-supported programmes reached a record high of 660,000 in 2021.

Specifically, the SSG said there were more than 30,000 individuals who took SkillsFuture Series courses in 2021, whilst there were around 1,700  individuals who participated in SkillsFuture Work-Study programmes.

There were about 247,000 Singaporeans who used their SkillsFuture Credit in 2021 to offset their course fees.

SSG also reported that its SkillsFuture Festival was also attended by 176,000 participants. During the festival, 7,200 individuals were able to identify their learning needs through one-to-one personalised Skills and Training Advisory services, whilst 28,000 individuals underwent SkillsFuture Advice workshops.

From the enterprises' side, there were 24,000 who supported SSG-supported programmes in 2021, while 10,000 sed the SkillsFuture Enterprise Credit in 2021.

Meanwhile, SSG also extended its SGUnited Skills Programme and the SGUnited Mid-Career Pathways Programme – Company Training until 31 March 2022.
