MediaCorp appoints Ong Lay Hong as MD at Singapore Media Academy

The appointment will be effective from 1 January 2012.

In a release, MediaCorp announced the appointment of Ms Ong Lay Hong, currently its Managing Director of Suria, Vasantham & EagleVision, to take on the additional role of Managing Director (MD) at Singapore Media Academy (SMA) with effect from 1 January 2012.

A media veteran of 30 years, Lay Hong joined the then Singapore Broadcasting Corporation as Producer, and honed her skills in the production of current affairs and news on television. Her current assignment as the Managing Director of the two community television channels has added yet another dimension to her experience and skills.

Leo Goh, the current MD of SMA, will move back to MediaCorp to assume a role in Human Resources effective 1 January 2012.
