SPH subsidiary to host gifts and premiums fair
Bizlink Exhibition’s SGPFair is part of company expansion opportunities under SPH management.
Singapore Press Holdings (SPH) will be hosting this year’s Singapore Gifts and Premiums Fair (SGPFair), the signature trade event for the gifts and premiums industry through its newly-acquired subsidiary, Bizlink Exhibition Services Pte Ltd (Bizlink Exhibition). Bizlink Exhibition also organises the “Franchising and Licensing Asia” (FLAsia) show, a trade event where exhibitors and visitors discover business opportunities with potential franchisees, licensees and investors, according to an SPH announcement.
Mr Chua Wee Phong, SPH's Executive Vice-President of Circulation and Director of Bizlink Exhibition, said: “This acquisition strengthens the media group's foray into the MICE sector, especially in the trade exhibitions arena. With SPH’s support, advertisers and trade exhibitors for SGPFair and FLAsia can ride on SPH's multiple media platforms to ensure greater value and stronger mileage for their products and services."
SGPFair was the brainchild of Mr Winston Lim, the Executive Director of Bizlink Exhibition.
Mr Lim said: “I am very pleased that Bizlink Exhibitions has now come under the umbrella of SPH. With the economies of scale and the resources available within SPH, the expansion opportunities would be limitless. I am very excited about SGPFair 2010 which will be our first event to be held under SPH this July. Our exhibitors and clients will immediately experience our value-add services with better exposure through the media.”
Currently in its 11th year and to be held on 28-30 July at Suntec Singapore Level 6, SGPFair attracts the region’s gifts and premiums industry suppliers to showcase their latest product offerings and innovations to trade and corporate buyers.
