Spackman Entertainment’s The Priests rakes in over US$33.6m in ticket sales
It sold over five million tickets in Korea.
The Mainboard-listed Korean entertainment production group said that The Priests, its latest mystery-drama release, has broken box office records in Korea.
The film sold over five million tickets at the Korean box office, setting the all-time record for the highest number of ticket admissions sold for a Korean film that opened in the non-peak month of November.

As of 3 December 2015, The Priests achieved over 5,023,810 in ticket admissions with gross box office revenues of over KRW 39.1 billion (or US$33.6 million).
Distribution rights to The Priests have been sold in both Singapore and PRC in addition to the five overseas markets announced previously, namely, U.S., Canada, Japan, Taiwan, and the Philippines.
Three more of the group’s movies are expected to be released in the first half of 2016.
