Hootsuite boosts its APAC team opening a new office in Singapore

Its VP talks about the importance of the company’s culture in line with opening the new space.

Hootsuite, a social media management system for brand management is the anchor tenant at The Working Capitol - a new co-working community in Keong Saik Road that we’ve also featured under the Office Watch. With a growing number of 35 employees based in Singapore, Hootsuite’s new office space provides the company flexible and accessible venue for meetings and events.

According to Simon Trilsbach, vice president in APAC of Hootsuite, opening the new office in Singapore will support the company’s current growth and future ambitions of growing and expanding the team across the region. He said that the new office move reaffirms their commitment to expand further within the market and APAC region, noting that it is also important to ensure that the APAC team maintains Hootsuite’s culture with a great working environment.

Simon said that the culture they have at Hootsuite is one of the things they are most proud of. He explained that early on in their company’s life cycle, culture was identified as an important factor in their chance for success, and it still is today.

“There is a certain magic in our culture, even though our team has experienced a huge amount of growth over the past few years, our core values remain important to everyone working at Hootsuite,” said Simon.

Speaking of culture, Simon also pointed out how collaboration plays an integral part in the company, “The more we collaborate with one another, the more we grow within our own careers and as an organization; that’s one of the key reasons why we’re excited about this new office move,” he said.

The collaborative and open-concept working spaces in their new office, he said, will help keep the team collaboration as the design breaks down barriers and allows people across teams and roles to interact among one another at any time of the day. And in order to keep team morale and passion high at its optimum, Simon reiterated that it is important to keep the flow of communication moving throughout the entire organization.
