SBF renews Lim Ming Yan as chairman, appoints 6 new council members
Nine council members resigned upon completing their terms.
The Singapore Business Federation (SBF) re-elected Lim Ming Yan as chairman for his third consecutive two-year term and appointed six new members to the council during its 22nd annual general meeting (AGM) on 27 June.
The council also nominated Andrew Lim, Partner, Allen & Gledhill LLP and Chin Wei Jia, Group CEO, Health Management International, to be co-opted as members.
The six newly appointed members include three representatives from trade associations and chambers, including Daijiro Eguchi, President of the Japanese Chamber of Commerce & Industry; Elisa Mallis, Chairman of The American Chamber of Commerce; and Lennon Tan, President of the Singapore Manufacturing Federation.
The other new council members include Sherman Kwek, Group CEO of City Developments Ltd; Marcus Lam, Executive Chairman of PwC; and Jenny Lee, Senior Managing Partner at Granite Asia Capital.
The 12th SBF Council elected seven office bearers, including Andrew Kwan as Vice Chairman and Honorary Secretary, Mark Lee as Vice Chairman and Honorary Treasurer, Ang Shih-Huei as Deputy Honorary Secretary, and Marcus Lam as Deputy Honorary Treasurer.
In addition, SBF appointed Chong Ee Rong, Ong Pang Thye, and Yong Hsin Yue as Vice Chairmen.
Meanwhile, nine council members have stepped down after finishing their terms.
