Singapore Exchange appoints Chng Lay Chew as Chief Financial Officer

Mr. Chng has worked for DBS Bank since 2000.

The board of Singapore Exchange announced the appointment of Mr Chng Lay Chew as Chief Financial Officer effective 29 December 2011.

Mr Chng has strong financial management experience in both Singaporean and international markets. His 32-year track record includes leadership and senior finance positions in leading local and international banks. Mr Chng was selected through a rigorous process, which included carrying out of reference checks. He was interviewed by the Chairman, Nominating Committee and members of the Executive Committee, according to an SGX report.

He previously worked as Controller and MIS – Countries of DBS Bank from 2008 to present. He also worked as DBS Bank Chief Financial Officer, Greater China from 2002 to 2008. Prior to this he was the Head of the Corporate Program Office, Information Technology Group, DBS Bank from 2000 to 2002.
