Intraco appoints Chew Leong Chee as Alternate Director

Mr Ng How Kiat Charlie himself requested Mr Chew's appointment as an Alternate Director.

The Board of Intraco annopunced the appointment of Chew Leong Chee as Alternate Director to Mr Ng How Kiat Charlie.

Mr Tony Chew, 66, is Executive Chairman of Asia Resource Corporation which has diversified business interests in the Asian Region. He is also Chairman of KFC Vietnam Company, Chairman of Macondray Corporation Pte Ltd and an Independent Director of Keppel Corporation. In Singapore, he plays an active role in promoting regional businesses, having served on the Trade Development Board, Regional Business Forum, Economic Review Sub-Committee for Entre-preneurship and Internationalization (2001/2002), GPC Resource Panel for Finance, Trade and Industry, Chairman of Network Indonesia as well as Vietnam Business Club, and Member of ASEAN Business Advisory Council, according to an Intraco report.

He was also a Member of the Economic Strategies Committee (2009/2010). He is presently Chairman of Singapore Business Federation, Chairman of Duke-NUS Graduate Medical School Singapore, and Member of the Economic Research Institute for ASEAN and East Asia Governing Board, Chinese Development Assistance Council Board of Trustees, National Productivity and Continuing Education Council, and Advisor to Singapore Institute of International Affairs. He was conferred the Public Service Star in 2008 and NUS Outstanding Service Award 2011.
