SG’s deal volume drops 20.4% YoY in 11M23
Multiple APAC markets also recorded declines in deals.
Singapore’s mergers & acquisitions (M&A), private equity and venture financing deals from January to November 2023 (11M23) fell 20.4% compared to the same period in 2022, GlobalData reported.
According to GlobalData, Singapore was not the only market in Asia-Pacific to record a decline in deals.
Markets such as China (13.4%), India (26.3%), Japan (15%), Australia (20.6%), South Korea (28.1%), Hong Kong (23.3%), and New Zealand (12.8%) also recorded YoY decline in volume.
Activity in the entire region also fell in 11M23, dropping 18.8% YoY to 13,151 deals.
