YZJ Shipbuilding led the gains amongst top active stocks with a 2.51% growth.
The Straits Times Index ended 37.23 or 1.17% higher at 3,229.44.
The top active stocks were DBS, which increased 0.62%, SingTel, which expanded 2.15%, UOB, which inched up 0.92%, UOB, YZJ Shipbuilding which grew 2.51%, and OCBC Bank with a 0.55% rise.
The FTSE Mid Cap rose 0.97% whilst the FTSE Small Cap inched up 0.31%.
