In 9M 2024, Singapore contributed 62% of the total $2.3b funding.
Singapore dominated tech startup funding in Southeast Asia (SEA) for 9M 2024, accounting for 62% of the $2.3b total funding, according to Tracxn.
Following Singapore was Jakarta with 14%, Bangkok (12%), and Taguig (3%). The remaining 9% were from other SEA cities.
The top companies for the period are ANEXT Bank, Superbank, and Ascend Money.
Since 9M 2017, Singapore has consistently led tech startup funding in the region. Notably, in 2021, Singapore accounted for 50% of the $14.5b total funding, the highest during the last eight years.
