Apple CEO Tim Cook to meet with Singapore leaders: report

His trip follows Apple's US$350m campus expansion announcement in Ang Mo Kio.

Apple CEO Tim Cook will conclude his Southeast Asia tour by meeting with Singapore’s leaders, Bloomberg reported.

According to anonymous sources cited by Bloomberg, Cook will stay in Singapore until 20 April to meet with Lawrence Wong and Lee Hsien Loong, who will resign as Prime Minister on 15 May, with Wong set to succeed him.

Bloomberg noted that the Singapore plans are subject to change, and Cook’s regional schedule remains undisclosed, with no comments from either Apple or Singaporean officials.

The trip comes after Apple announced a $340m (US$250m) investment to expand its Singapore campus, accommodating new roles in AI and other areas, supplementing its current workforce of over 3,600 employees.

"Singapore is truly a one-of-a-kind place, and we are proud of the connection we've built with this dynamic community of creators, learners, and dreamers. With our growing campus, Apple is writing a new chapter in our history here," Cook said in a statement on the Apple website.
Cook’s Southeast Asia tour started in Vietnam, where he met with Vietnamese Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh.
