TalkMed Group enters SGX Catalist

Under the stock code '5G3'.

In a release, Singapore Exchange (SGX) announced the listing of TalkMed Group Limited to Catalist, under the stock code “5G3”.

TalkMed Group provides medical oncology services to patients through Parkway Cancer Centre, a sole proprietorship owned by Parkway Hospitals Singapore, with Singapore Cancer Centre employees out of seven clinics in Gleneagles Hospital Singapore, Mount Elizabeth Hospital Singapore, Mount Elizabeth Medical Centre and Mouth Elizabeth Novena Specialist Centre Singapore.

S Chandra Das, Chairman of TalkMed, said: “Today’s listing is the culmination of many years of patient care, of unwavering dedication. TalkMed is a company rich in experience, expertise and with exceptionally strong bonds among colleagues.

The group has done well, but this listing will help it do better. We are still a small group. The market is large, not just in Singapore but in the region. With the proceeds from listing, we will be able to expand our talent pool much faster.

The proceeds will also go into overseas expansion as well as to improve the quality of care. With the listing, we hope more patients will be able to receive top medical care.”

With an IPO market capitalisation of S$131.4 million, TalkMed Group brings SGX’s pool of healthcare companies to 27 and the total number of companies listed on Catalist to 142 with a combined market capitalisation of S$9.7 billion.
