CIMB Securities admitted to SGX derivatives market

Now there are 37 clearing members for the derivatives market and 34 trading partners.

In a release, Mr Chew Sutat, Head of Sales and Clients at SGX said, “The addition of new members such as CIMB Securities will further improve our diverse distribution network and bring SGX products and services to new customer segments.”

Ms Carol Fong, Chief Executive Officer of CIMB Securities (Singapore) said, “CIMB is delighted to have received formal admission as a Derivatives Clearing and Trading Member of Singapore Exchange. The membership underscores our commitment to our clients and forms part of our strategy to be the leading universal bank in ASEAN. Together with existing licences in Thailand and Malaysia, CIMB is wellpositioned to expand our role in the growing futures market.”

The securities market now has 30 Trading Members and 29 Clearing Members.
