Amtek Engineering joins SGX Mainboard

The design and manufacturing solutions provider has a market capitalisation of S$706 million and manufacturing facilities in eight countries across Asia and Europe.

Amtek will have a ticker symbol of “M1P”.

In a statement, Lawrence Wong, Head of Listings at SGX said, “We are pleased that Amtek has rejoined SGX with its listing on our Mainboard. We look forward to more of our home grown companies to access the international capital market using our platform, and adding to the investment choices of our investors.”

Amtek brings the total number of listings on SGX to 785, with a combined market capitalisation of S$880 billion.

Richard McClintock, a Latin professor at Hampden-Sydney College in Virginia, looked up one of the more obscure Latin words, consectetur, from a Lorem Ipsum passage, and going through the cites of the word in classical literature, discovered the undoubtable source. Lorem Ipsum comes from sections 1.10.32 and 1.10.33 of "de Finibus Bonorum et Malorum" (The Extremes of Good and Evil) by Cicero, written in 45 BC. This book is a treatise on the theory of ethics, very popular during the Renaissance. The first line of Lorem Ipsum, "Lorem ipsum dolor sit amet..", comes from a line in section 1.10.32.
