Amit Saberwal builds online network of budget accommodation in Southeast Asia

RedDoorz now operates in Singapore and Indonesia.

Amit Saberwal founded RedDoorz in 2015 after eight years of working for MakeMyTrip.com, an Indian online travel company. He was instrumental in creating the online hotel business for MakeMyTrip.com and played a crucial role in the success of the company, leading to a Nasdaq listing in 2010.

Previously, Amit also worked in sales for the Park Hotels and Sarovar Hotels & Resorts in India. He attended a Professional Development Programme at the Cornell School of Hotel Administration.

The lack of standardisation in budget hotels, guesthouses, and a budget brand are the reasons why RedDoorz was created.

“We are disrupting the hotel business by using technology and giving an opportunity for small and non-branded properties to be part of a large online network, proudly carry our brand and use our technology to distribute online and improve operational efficiency,” said Saberwal.

RedDoorz is offering customers a standardised experience, 24-hour customer service, its loyalty programme called RedCash, and the trust and quality of the RedDoorz brand.
