Manufacturing Integration Technology appoints Kam Boon Cheong as director

He graduated from Glasgow University, Scotland with a degree in Mechanical Engineering in 1987.

Manufacturing Integration Technology announced the appointment of Kam Boon Cheong as independent director.

Mr Kam, 51, will also be a member of the Audit Committee, Nominating Committee, Remuneration Committee and Investment Committee.

He began his engineering career in Apple Computer before moving to several high technology enterprises with regional responsibilities such as ICOS Vision Systems and KLA-Tencor. Mr Kam was Managing Director of ICOS at the time of its acquisition by KLA Tencor in 2008 and remained with the latter until 2011. Thereafter, Mr Kam had been providing corporate advisory services to local corporates. In his spare time, he has been serving as a mission volunteer to the China ethnic minorities tribal groups in the mountains of Yunnan and Sichuan since 2006, according to a Manufacturing Integration Technology report.
