GP Batteries International names Victor Lo Chung Wing as chairman and CEO

He is currently the chairman and chief executive of Gold Peak Industries Holdings, the ultimate holding company of GP Batteries, and the chairman of GP Industries, the holding company of the company.

GP Batteries International announced the appointment of Victor Lo Chung Wing as chairman and chief executive officer.

Mr Lo, 64, will be responsible for the overall functioning of the Board and the daily operations of the company. He will also be a member of the Nominating Committee.

Mr Lo joined Gold Peak Group in 1972 and has been appointed the chairman and chief executive of Gold Peak Industries Holdings, Hong Kong since 1990. He is also the chairman of GP Industries, Singapore and the former chairman of GP Batteries International from 1990 to 1993, according to a GP Batteries International report.

Mr Lo is chairman of the board of directors of Hong Kong Design Centre and CreateSmart Initiative Vetting Committee of Hong Kong SAR Government. He is a non-official member of the Economic Development Commission and the convenor of its Working Group on Manufacturing Industries, Innovative Technology, and Cultural and Creative Industries. He is also a member of the board of the West Kowloon Cultural District Authority in Hong Kong, and chairman of its Museum Committee. In addition, he is the chairman of board of directors of The Hotel ICON Limited, which is the teaching and research hotel under The Hong Kong Polytechnic University.
