China Bearing Singapore names Lawrence Wong Chee Meng as director

He was one of the founding members and equity partner of RHTLaw Taylor Wessing LLP.

China Bearing Singapore announced the appointment of Lawrence Wong Chee Meng as independent non-executive director.

Mr Wong, 47, will also be a member of Audit Committee, Remuneration Committee and Nominating Committee.

From 2014 up to the present, Mr Wong is the managing director of Equity Law LLC.

Before this, from 2011 to 2013, he was one of the founding members and equity partner of RHTLaw Taylor Wessing LLP. Herein, he was also the co-head of its corporate and securities practise and the head of RHT Capital, an approved SGX continuing sponsor.

From 2007 to 2011, Mr Wong was partner of KhattarWong in the corporate & securities law department, according to a China Bearing Singapore report.

He graduated from the National University of Singapore in 1991 with an honours degree in law on a scholarship from the Public Service Commission of Singapore and has accumulated an extensive working experience in both the public and the private sectors of the legal profession. His areas of practice include corporate and securities laws, capital markets, mergers and acquisitions, corporate restructuring, joint ventures, corporate and commercial contracts, regulatory compliance and corporate governance advisory and corporate secretarial work. He has led numerous initial public offerings, reverse take-overs, secondary fund raising and cross-border merger and acquisitions exercises.
