Centillion appoints Simon Eng as Executive Director and Chariman

Mr. Eng’s appointment coincides with resignation of Chng Weng Wah as Acting Chief Executive Officer.

The Board of Directors of Centillion Environment and Recycling Ltd. has announced the appointment of Mr. Simon Eng as Executive Director and Chairman of the Company with effect from 25 October 2011.

Mr. Simon Eng is a representative of Asia Dynamic Pte Ltd, a substantial shareholder of the Company. The Nominating Committee has recommended the appointment of Mr Simon Eng as a Director of the Company and the Board of Directors has approved his appointment, according to a Centillion report.

Mr Eng will be responsible for setting the strategic direction of the Group and supervising management.

After leaving the civil service in 2004 and up till 2007, Mr. Eng was the President of China of mainboard-listed United Engineers Ltd (UE), focusing on environment engineering and power generation in China.

In 2008, after leaving UE, Mr. Eng set up a wastes and wastewater treatment company to invest in treatment facilities in China. In 2009, Mr. Eng joined mainboard-listed Advance SCT Ltd as Group CEO initially. Today, he is the controlling shareholder and Chairman of the Group.

Consequent to the above appointment, the Company wishes to announce that Mr. Chng Weng Wah has resigned as Acting Chief Executive Officer and ceased to be Chairman of the Company with effect from 25 October 2011. Currently, Mr. Chng Weng Wah, remains as a Director of the Company.
