Advance SCT appoints Peter Choo Chee Kong as Director

Mr Choo is also an Audit Committee, Nominating Committeem and Renumeration Committee member.

The Board of Advance SCT announced the appointment of Peter Choo Chee Kong as Director. Mr Choo’s credentials in the banking and finance industry will lend credence to Company as it continues current efforts to strengthen itself financially. The experience that he has gained from a recent foray into the mining industry can also be useful to the non-ferrous metals business that some of the Company’s subsidiaries are involved in, according to an Advance SCT report.

Mr Peter Choo, 53, is Vice Chairman of CNMC Goldmine Limited, a resources company listed on SGX Catalist Board. He has more than 20 years of experience in the banking and financial industry. With 14 years of banking experience in DBS Bank, of which more than 8 years were with the Investment Banking Department. From year 2000 to 2006, he was CEO of SGX-listed Westcomb Financial Group Limited which he co-founded and took public in 2004. From 2006 to April 2008, he was Deputy Chairman of Westcomb Financial Group. Mr. Choo has been involved in the successful public listing of more than 200 companies from Singapore, the PRC, Hong Kong, Philippines, Taiwan and Australia. He obtained his Bachelor’s Degree (First Class Honours) in Mechanical Engineering from Liverpool University, UK and holds a Master of Business Administration from Bradford University, UK.
