IMDA, STB launches $10m on-screen Fund

Selected projects will receive funding support of up to 30% of qualifying costs.

The Infocomm Media Development Authority (IMDA) and the Singapore Tourism Board (STB) launched a $10m on-screen fund to support local and international media and entertainment partners in producing TV and film projects that can reach global audiences and promote the country's tourism.

International media conglomerates, key video streamers, and content studios can apply for the fund; Their projects, however, must be set in Singapore and launched before the first quarter of 2027.

Project proposals will be evaluated based on their distribution and market reach, content concept and creative merit, opportunities to feature Singapore's offerings and experiences, and the number of local talents involved in credited roles.

Selected projects will receive funding support of up to 30% of qualifying costs related to featuring Singapore, including production and marketing costs.

Justin Ang, IMDA's assistant chief executive for Media, Innovation, Communications, and Marketing, said the fund provides opportunities for local media enterprises and talent to collaborate with their international counterparts to hone their skills and gain valuable experience on projects targetting the global audience.
