Check out Shootsta's new HQ at Mohamed Sultan Road

The company prioritised the functionality of the space for filming.

Video technology company Shootsta officially opened its global headquarters in Singapore, located on Mohamed Sultan Road in a historical shophouse, right next to Fort Canning park.

Founded in 2015 in Sydney, Shootsta scaled from a startup to a global company, currently servicing 250 clients in five markets across four continents including companies such as Grab, Singtel, Circles.Life, and CitiBank in Singapore. Shootsta began operations in Asia in 2017 and typically works with internal communications, learning and development, and B2B marketing teams who are looking to scale their video content.

The company’s main priority now is to grow and nurture their business in Singapore, as well as to expand into other markets in Asia. They are also investing in developing new technology, including apps to create video in the new normal. “Our goal is to enable and empower enterprises to implement a cost-effective video strategy as part of their digital transformation in 2020,” Pritchett added.

The new space is located on a shophouse which is kept minimalistic and stripped down of interior design. The winding stairs act as a pathway to the main office on the third floor, whilst grey concrete elements are used in the office interior features to give the space a cool look and feel.

The company said it has put a lot of thought into the functionality of the space through investing in sound boards to ensure good sound quality when filming. The space can also be partitioned into a large breakout area when needed.

Like all other Shootsta offices in Sydney, Hong Kong, London and San Diego, the space serves as a place for employees to create, collaborate, and serve clients as well as for clients to film content and attend regular in-person training sessions. Shootsta’s decision to officially make Singapore its global HQ stems from the country’s position as an international hub.

However, Shootsta’s CEO & founder Mike Pritchett told Singapore Business Review that this year has been tough as their team is working remotely since March. Pritchett looks forward to be back in the office once given the greenlight from the government

The HQ will be led by Pritchett, together with co-founder and chief technology officer, Tim Moylan. The opening of the office follows Shootsta’s launch of a new digital products suite which is originally intended in H2.

Contrary to popular belief, Lorem Ipsum is not simply random text. It has roots in a piece of classical Latin literature from 45 BC, making it over 2000 years old. Richard McClintock, a Latin professor at Hampden-Sydney College in Virginia, looked up one of the more obscure Latin words, consectetur, from a Lorem Ipsum passage, and going through the cites of the word in classical literature, discovered the undoubtable source. Lorem Ipsum comes from sections 1.10.32 and 1.10.33 of "de Finibus Bonorum et Malorum" (The Extremes of Good and Evil) by Cicero, written in 45 BC. This book is a treatise on the theory of ethics, very popular during the Renaissance. The first line of Lorem Ipsum, "Lorem ipsum dolor sit amet..", comes from a line in section 1.10.32.
