America’s Next Top Model winner to guest at Digital Fashion Week Singapore

Sophie Summer will grace the Singapore runway for the first time.

In a release, it was announced that the latest winner of modeling reality TV program, America’s Next Top Model, Sophie Sumner will debut her Singapore runway appearance, together with supermodel Andrej Pejic on the runway of Digital Fashion Week (DFW) Singapore this October. DFW mobile application, the first in Singapore to feature fashion show live streaming, is set to launch prior to the event.

A fan favourite, Sophie Sumner was previously a runner-up on Britain’s Next Top Model, Cycle 5. The model from Oxford, England has already fronted campaigns for leading fashion brands including Puma and People Tree, even before joining America’s Next Top Model, Cycle 18: British Invasion Edition.

Since her win, Sophie has become the face of American cosmetics brand, CoverGirl and landed on pages of Italian Vogue.

DFW Singapore, happening this 20th to 22nd October at The Tent @ Millenia Pavilion, Ritz-Carlton Singapore, will see Sophie grace the runway of two fashion shows – Opening Show featuring Thomas Wee’s first Men’s collection followed by his Women’s Spring Summer 2013 collection, and emerging Singaporean fashion label OwnMuse Spring Summer 2013 collection show.

Embracing the Digital Age is one of the key focuses of DFW. The DFW mobile application, in partnership with digital solutions company, Codigo, not only allows users to watch the live streaming of backstage action, interviews and fashion shows but also features push notifications to remind users 15 minutes before the actual live streaming of backstage actions and fashion shows – all on the move.

In addition, users can watch daily post-show highlight videos and find out more about top models, Andrej Pejic and Sophie Sumner, fashion icon, Patricia Field and all fashion designers, sponsors and partners of DFW Singapore.

DFW mobile application is a free iPhone app and can be downloaded via Apple App Store and iTunes on a later date. The inaugural DFW Singapore will showcase six of Singapore’s top fashion labels – Thomas Wee, Eugene Lin, Tze Goh, PAULINE.NING, OwnMuse and -J-A-S-O-N- – alongside internationally acclaimed guest designer from China, Guo Pei.
