Inside the luxurious Supreme Q.X. Beauty Spa’s second outlet at Pacific Plaza

Former beauty queen Dato Icemichelle Chen shared its founding story.

With more than 17 years of history, upmarket luxury thematic spa Supreme Q.X. Beauty Spa unveiled its second outlet at Pacific Plaza last August 1. The new outlet is centred around the concept of “Spa Meets The Arts” and hailed as the first-of-its kind in Singapore.

Founder Dato Icemichelle Chen, former Mrs Singapore Universal Beauty of 2013, said that with the new environment, ladies can thoroughly rest and relax as they receive an East-meets-West approach of pampering.

Dato Icemichelle explained for example that if a customer travels to a temperate country and comes back with dry skin, her therapist will customise a treatment regime that targets the current skin problem. Hence, clients will never be stuck with packages that are no longer relevant to their needs, she added.

“The treatments at Supreme Q.X Beauty Spa remain relevant to the customers regardless of the change in their skin or body condition. Changes in Meridian Health, lifestyle or exposure to radical weather conditions are always addressed,” she said.

The founding story

Supreme Q.X. Beauty Spa was helmed by Dato Icemichelle Chen since 1999. The former beauty queen set up her own salon three years after working for one, with the passion in helping others find their natural beauty with good skincare.

Starting with a capital of around ten thousand dollars that she saved over the years, the business was first set up with a 600 square feet space that had only two beds.

Over the next 17 years, the business grew from strength to strength and Supreme Q.X Beauty Spa now occupies a spacious 2400 square feet two storey space close to Bishan MRT station.
