UNDP appoints MAS executive director as SIF chair
He replaces Bank of England’s Anna Sweeney.
The United Nations Development Programme announced the appointment of the Monetary Authority of Singapore Executive Director for Insurance Daniel Wang as the new chair of the Sustainable Insurance Forum (SIF).
Before his appointment, he is also the chair of the Climate Risk Steering Group at the International Association of Insurance Supervisors.
Wang said he looked forward to working with their members and other partners to “address sustainability issues affecting the global insurance sector, and where we can help to advance climate action in our collective journey towards net zero.”

Wang succeeded Bank of England Executive Director for Insurance Anna Sweeney, who served as Chair from December 2020 to December 2022.
Launched in December 2016, the SIF became a global network for insurance supervisors and regulators to work together on sustainability challenges the insurance sector faces.
