Ransomware threats are ruining lives of cybersecurity leaders: report
Six in 10 decision-makers say ransomware threats have pushed them to a breaking point.
The increasing number of ransomware threats is affecting the lives of cybersecurity leaders, a report revealed.
According to the Mimecast's State of Ransomware Readiness 2022, 61% of decision-makers are under mounting stress due to threats, and many of them are reaching breaking points.
This is likely because 68% of them also feel very personally responsible in the event of a ransomware attack.
The majority of cybersecurity decision-makers (89%) said the number of cyberattacks against their company has increased since last year or stayed the same.
On top of the concern over increasing threats, more than half (55%) of cybersecurity leaders also fear that cyber insurers will refuse to pay out ransoms in the future, the report added.
