ECS Holdings appoints Ong Wei Hiam as Group CEO

The group also names Tay Eng Hoe as Executive Chairman and Leong Horn Kee as Lead Independent Director.

The Board of ECS Holdings announced the appointment of Ong Wei Hiam as Group Chief Executive Officer.

“We welcome Mr Ong as Group CEO of ECS. As the CFO of VST Holdings for many years, he already has a strong understanding of the industry dynamics of ECS. We are confident that, Mr Ong will provide the necessary leadership and direction of the Group as it embarks on a new chapter of growth,” the Board said.

Mr Ong, 40, will be responsible for overall management of ECS Group.

In the past he was Executive Director of ECS Holdings Limited, Executive Director and Chief Financial Officer of VST Holdings Limited, and Audit Manager of Pricewaterhouse Coopers.

The Board also appointed Tay Eng Hoe, 60, as Executive Chairman, according to an ECS Group report.

“We welcome back Mr Tay, who is a founding director who has served many years as Group CEO as well as its Non-Executive Chairman. His strong experience, industry knowledge and network in the financial and investment community will provide the continuity as ECS charts its next stage of growth,” the Board said.

Likewise the Board names Leong Horn Kee, 60 as Lead Independent Director of ECS Holdings Limited.

Mr Leong is currently an Independent Director of the Company and he also serves as the Chairman of the Audit Committee and a member of the Nominating and Compensation Committees.
