Two blockchain bodies launch merger association
The Blockchain Association Singapore will provide upskilling to mid-career workers.
The Blockchain Association Singapore (BAS), a merger of two Singapore blockchain bodies, has officially launched, according to a news release.
Formed from the union of Singapore Block Association (SBA) and the Blockchain, Enterprise and Scalable Technologies (BEST) both founded in 2018, BAS is co-headed by Singapore Fintech Association president Chia Hock Lai and former BEST chairperson Tan Bin Ru.
Together with Singapore Polytechnic and NTUC, BAS will run a six-month course to upskill mid-career workers to become blockchain application junior developers. It will comprise up to 300 hours of classroom training and up to 660 hours of on-the-job training.
