ST Engineering launches geospatial analytics platform
It is designed to provide immediate streaming access to satellite images.
ST Engineering is launching a cloud-based geospatial analytics platform that can provide immediate access to satellite imagery data and analytics tools, according to a press release.
Called GΞOEARTH, the open platform provides immediate streaming access to high-resolution imagery from TeLEOS-1, Singapore’s first commercial earth observation satellite, together with a suite of data analytics tools. This is compared to the current lead time of three days.
The platform can support analytics on both Optical and Synthetic Aperture Radar (SAR) data, and process data from TeLEOS-1 and various sources such as ICEYE, TerraSAR and Planet Lab. The analytics can relieve users from the manual work of processing satellite images.
The company noted that the platform can be particularly useful for airport operations, business intelligence, monitoring of maritime activities, land-use survey and scene-change analysis.
GΞOEARTH will make its debut at the Global Space and Technology Convention (GSTC) 2020 on 6 and 7 February 2020.
