Singapore's share of DDoS attacks in APAC climbs to 11%
It holds the fourth-highest share of DDoS attacks in APAC.
Singapore has seen a rise in Distributed Denial-of-Service (DDoS) attacks, making up 11% of incidents in the Asia-Pacific region as of 1Q24.
In 3Q23, Singapore's share of DDoS attacks was only 8%,
Singapore also holds the fourth-highest share of DDoS attack incidents within the Asia-Pacific, behind China (16%), Taiwan (18%), and India (22%).
In a report, StormWall said geopolitics remains a significant factor in the distribution
of DDoS attacks across the APAC region.
Those with friendly ties to Russia, like Singapore, China, and Hong Kong, experienced a higher proportion of attacks.
