Singapore rolls out world's first trademark registration app
IPOS Go was equipped with AI for searching similar trademarks.
The Intellectual Property Office of Singapore (IPOS) launched IPOS Go, the world’s first mobile trademark registration app, according to a press release.
The app was designed to speed up the registration process to less than 10 minutes from an average of 45 to 60 minutes. Filing costs will also be reduced.
IPOS Go also integrated AI technology for detecting similar trademarks on the IPOS register, preventing the filing of trademarks too similar to the existing ones.

Applicants can also track their registration status, receive updates, or file for trademark renewals.
Trademark applications in Singapore have increased by 30% over the last 5 years, IPOS added.
