Singapore looking to hire 223,000 infocomm media workers
It also wants to raise industry growth by 6% annually.
The Infocomm Media Development Authority (IMDA) is planning to hire 210,000 workers and create 13,000 new Professionals, Managers, Executives and Technicians (PMET) as part of its Industry Transformation Map (ITM).
According to IMDA, IMDA aims to grow the industry's value by around 6%, which is almost twice as fast as the overall economy.
The government will focus on four technologies namely, artificial intelligence (AI) and Data analytics, cybersecurity, immersive media, and the internet of things (IoT).
IMDA will work with AI Singapore for projects such as an AI Business Partnership Programme, AI apprenticeship programme, open AI assets, and higher AI availability through SMEs Go Digital.
Companies will also be assisted in adopting digital technology.
