Singapore to host biggest tech event since borders reopened

It will be attended by 50 speakers and 12,000 industry key players.

Singapore will host the largest tech event which will invite more than 12,000 global leaders and tech players to discuss digital woes and opportunities in the Lion City, the government said.

In a joint statement, it was announced that Asia Tech x Singapore will run from 31 May to 3 June and will discuss key issues such as women in technology and supporting global change through technology. 

The AtxSG will be headlined by exclusive invitation-only at the Ritz-Carlton Millenia Singapore on 31 May. Guests of honour include Singapore Deputy Prime Minister and Coordinating Minister for Economic Policies Heng Swee Keat.

There will be 50 speakers and some 2,000 guests from government businesses and industry who will tackle topics such as quantum computing, metaverse, and sustainability for a green digital future.

Lew Chuen Hong, chief executive at Infocomm Media Development Authority, said digital and tech should have a trusted digital environment, economic growth, innovations, and tackling society’s problems.

“It is therefore key to bring together thought leaders across these domains, to shape that shared digital future,” said Hong.

Then, on 1 June, there will also be a ATxAI conference that will look into the future of AI technology and trust in the technology. On the same day, ATxInspire will also be held to feature female leaders in the tech industry.

From 1 to 3 June, the Singapore EXPO will house ATxEnterprise and ATxImpact segments which will showcase more than 500 exhibitors from 32 markets and regions and 200 conference sessions with more than 350 speakers.
