Semiconductors face increased demand for the next 10 years

This is due to the higher number of applications that manufacturers can say. 

The demand for semiconductors is expected to increase over the next decade, a report released by Schroders said.

Factors for this prediction include the rise of artificial intelligence and communications networks, the transition to electric vehicles and Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS), and the move to 5G. 

Artificial intelligence and the Internet of Things (IoT) is forecasted to have larger growth, as the applications grow. As stated by the report, the number of IoT devices is expected to reach 25.44b in 2030. 

The automotive industry, in particular, has seen a climb in semiconductor content. According to the study, the industry can face further demand ADAS systems continue to be more commonplace.
