PropertyGuru named best E-Enterprise Company for 2010

Tops 25 other nominees ranging from MNCs to government agencies by extensive use of IT applications.

PropertyGuru.com.sg, Singapore’s leading property site, has been named best E-Enterprise company at the 2010 SiTF Awards. PropertyGuru beat competition from more than 25 local companies, including the Ministry of Defence and National Library Board to top the category, according to a PropNex report.

The SiTF awards, organised by the Singapore Infocomm Technology Federation (SiTF), are designed to recognise companies that provide unique and useful services that support the community and enable more efficient, effective, transparent and lower costs.

All entries were judged on strict criteria by a panel of IT and Infocomm industry experts, with three rounds of presentations. PropertyGuru received top marks for its consumer and real estate industry services.

Judges commended the site for helping to make the market more transparent through fast and easy access to property information and tools, e.g. residential and commercial property search, editorial, market research, property transactions, on-the-go iPhone usage and one stop mortgage solutions at LoanGuru.com.sg.

PropertyGuru was also praised for helping to transform the industry from being 95 percent reliant on traditional media to 60 percent in just three years, using innovative tools such as a personal website, PropertyGuru analytics, iPhone application and weekly training for agents, to local and international partnerships with Facebook, eBay and Mocca.

Commenting on the achievement, Steve Melhuish, CEO and Co-founder of PropertyGuru, said, “This is a great coup as we were competing with lots of good entries. We've worked really hard to provide the most innovative solutions to consumers, so to get this award is really pleasing.”

This win comes on the back of a busy few months for PropertyGuru, with recent launches of CommercialGuru.com.sg, a site dedicated to commercial properties in Singapore, its iPhone application, facebook listing application for agents and property data analysis tool.

Lorem Ipsum has been the industry's standard dummy text ever since the 1500s, when an unknown printer took a galley of type and scrambled it to make a type specimen book.
