Microsoft launches HoloLens computer in Singapore
It uses mixed reality technology to operate.
Microsoft launched Microsoft HoloLens, its fully self-contained holographic computer running Windows 10, in Singapore starting 12 April 2018. According to an announcement, Singapore is the 41st country to have the computer.
Microsoft launched HoloLens in two configurations for developer and commercial use. Features include a Kiosk Mode, which limits which apps to run to enable demo or showcase experiences, and a Mobile Device Management (MDM).
The computer also has a directory integration and "next generation" credentials with PIN unlock and a controlled operating system updates to devices. It also features data encryption, a virtual private network, and a Windows store.
Microsoft first announced HoloLens in January 2015 and shipped to developers and commercial partners in the United States and Canada in 2016.
