CapitaLand takes its shopping voucher digital
CapitaVoucher can be purchased, stored and redeemed via the CapitaStar app.
CapitaLand is taking what it claims to be its most popular shopping voucher with a network of over 2,000 stores across 16 malls digital on its CapitaStar app as the firm revs up its digital transformation, an announcement revealed.
The eCapitaVoucher incorporates gifting and bulk purchase features, a first of its kind feature, according to CapitaLand. It can be purchased, stored and redeemed via the app. Shoppers can buy or gift eCapitaVouchers 24 hours daily and receive timely reminders about voucher expiry dates.

CapitaStar members can also exchange their STAR$ for eCapitaVouchers for quick and easy redemption at various cashier points using the CapitaStar app. STAR$ can also be exchanged for merchant deals on the app.
“In the age of digital disruption, we see digital technology as a key enabler to strengthen CapitaLand’s real estate offerings,” Jason Leow, president for Asia & retail at CapitaLand, said in a statement. “Digitalising CapitaVoucher will further enhance CapitaStar’s functionality and make it an even more powerful tool to drive retail sales at CapitaLand malls. By digitally transforming our business processes and interactions with our shoppers, we strive to enrich the phygital experience at our properties.”
CapitaVoucher reportedly achieved $90m in sales in 2018, which is its second consecutive year of double-digital growth, the firm added. The CapitaStar platform to-date has amassed approximately 950,000 in Singapore since its launch in 2011.
