Smartflex Holdings appointed official supplier of RFID tags to Tagsys

Further solidifies diversification into RFID market.

The Board of Directors of Smartflex Holdings Ltd (Smartflex) announced that the Group has been selected by TAGSYS RFID, a provider of item-level inventory management system and a leader in the global radio-frequency identification (“RFID”) industry, as an official supplier for its RFID tags.

Since Q4 2013, the Company has been shipping RFID tags such as smart labels and near field communication tags to TAGSYS RFID.

TAGSYS RFID is transforming the way to connect, communicate and interact with goods. TAGSYS RFID provides item-level inventory management systems that streamline the supply chain. This enables companies to control pricing strategies, increase sales and improve customer satisfaction. TAGSYS has reportedly implemented RFID-based systems to more than 500 customers in 40 countries.

Smartflex's diversification into the RFID industry marks a major milestone in the Company’s business, allowing it to make inroads into the fast growing RFID market and placing the Company on track with its strategy to diversify into other industry segments.

According to TAGSYS’S Vice President for Quality & Services, Mr Didier Elabaz, the Company has the know-how to address TAGSYS’S production needs in 2014 and for the next years.
