KPMG in Singapore buys Rainmaker Labs
It aims to offer clients a mobile-first, end-to-end suite of solutions for firms’ digital development.
KPMG in Singapore acquired the Singapore and Vietnam businesses of Rainmaker Labs, a Singapore headquartered enterprise mobile application developer and consultancy. “Financial terms of the acquisition will not be disclosed,” it said.
According to a statement, this acquisition is part of KPMG’s investment to offer clients a mobile-first, end-to-end suite of digital solutions ranging from creation and development to the deployment of digital platforms and applications in Southeast Asia.
KPMG’s move will serve businesses capitalising on the transformative opportunities provided by digital and mobile technologies and seeking regional growth opportunities. It will also enhance KPMG’s capabilities in mobile, cloud services, managed services and digital ledger (blockchain), augmenting the firm’s existing digital capabilities.
KPMG in Singapore managing partner Ong Pang Thye said “We are really excited about the opportunities that this acquisition presents. It firmly plugs us into the opportunities of the ASEAN digital economy in serving our local and multinational clients.”
“This acquisition primes us to scale our in-house digital capabilities and increase our bench strength in digital innovation, co-creation and solutions deployment, creating a powerhouse of end-to-end digital transformation services and enterprise solutions,” he added.
