ICA unveils e-service enabling online address change

They can access the service on ICA’s website using their SingPass.

Singapore residents who wish to change their local or overseas residential address will be able to do so via online through Immigration & Checkpoint Authority’s (ICA) new e-service beginning 1 October.

Identity card (IC) holders can access the e-service on ICA’s website using their SingPass. Then, a unique PIN will be mailed to their address, and they will need to enter the PIN via the e-Service to verify their new residence. Subsequently, a sticker bearing the new address will be mailed, then it has to be affixed to the back of their IC.

The new address will be updated in the databases of public agencies taking part in the One-Stop Address Reporting (OSCARS) initiative within one working day.

Residents can also opt for appointing SingPass holder proxies to submit an application on their behalf. Meanwhile, those who reside in the same household can change their address with a single application.

Neighbourhood Police Posts (NPPs) and Neighbourhood Police Centres (NPCs) will stop processing address change requests from 1 December onwards.

Lorem Ipsum comes from sections 1.10.32 and 1.10.33 of "de Finibus Bonorum et Malorum" (The Extremes of Good and Evil) by Cicero, written in 45 BC. This book is a treatise on the theory of ethics, very popular during the Renaissance. The first line of Lorem Ipsum, "Lorem ipsum dolor sit amet..", comes from a line in section 1.10.32.
