CNA secures S$18.6mn deals in three countries

The group inked contract by Singapore’s LTA, in Vietnam, and in China.

CNA Group Ltd. (“CNA”) announced that from July 2011 to date, it has been awarded a total of approximately S$18.6 million worth of contracts in Singapore, China and Vietnam. Out of which, two contracts secured just this month were from Hanoi Park City in Vietnam and Singapore’s Land Transportation Authority (“LTA”) respectively, bringing CNA’s total outstanding order book to S$64.9 million.

CNA has been awarded a S$2.8 million contract by LTA to supply, install, configure and commission a WLAN System at various bus depots for its public transport operators in Singapore. The Depot WLAN System will enable the transfer of data from the Depot Computer Systems to the buses. Similarly, transaction data or relevant data collected from the Bus Fare Console and other devices in the buses are transferred to the Depot Computer System through the Depot WLAN System. The downloading or uploading of data is done when the buses return to the depot at any time. In addition, CNA will also supply a WLAN Security System for the protection and monitoring of the Depot WLAN System, which will be installed at the bus depots and at LTA’s Test Lab and Central Manning Centre. The Depot WLAN project will commence from September 2011 and is expected to be completed by October 2012.

In Singapore, the Group has recently signed several contracts to provide Integrated Building Management System maintenance for the Urban Redevelopment Authority; upgrade the Building Energy Management System for Tan Tock Seng Hospital; and expand the clean room facilities’ controllers for the Institute of Microelectronics. Out of CNA’s outstanding order book of S$64.9 million, approximately S$23.7 million or 37% is contributed by projects in Singapore.

Apart from the above, CNA has also worked with McDonald’s Singapore as their Green Mark Consultant. McDonald’s Singapore recently secured four Building and Construction Authority (“BCA”) Green Mark Awards for four of their restaurants in Singapore, including the BCA Green Mark Platinum award for their newest restaurant in Jurong Central Park. CNA provided McDonald’s Singapore green solutions that included UVC emitters for FCUs, ozone-type UV emitters for treatment of kitchen exhaust and Titanium Dioxide Photocatalyst treatment of toilets.

CNA’s wholly owned subsidiary, CNA-HTE Vietnam Co., Ltd (“CNA-HTE”) has been awarded an approximately S$6.0 million contract to provide a Mechanical, Engineering and Plumbing (“MEP”) package, floor and wall finishing works and external works for the first phase of Hanoi Park City in Vietnam, which consists of 177 units of Low Rise Township and Semi-Detached Villas. The contract is expected to be completed by January 2013.

A 77.45 hectare residential township, Hanoi Park City will eventually consist of 952 units of Town Villas, Garden Villa & Adjacent Houses and 6,052 units of High Rise Apartment with convenient facilities such as a central park, clubhouse, media centre, International School and retail centre when completed, according to a CNA report.

Apart from the Hanoi Park City project, CNA has also secured an approximately S$1.2 million signage and fit-out contract for Hyatt Regency Danang Resort and Spa. The other Vietnam projects which CNA is currently working on include finishing work for Mulberry Lane and landscaping work for Riviera Cove. Vietnam has contributed approximately S$29.4 million or 45% to CNA’s total outstanding order book.

CNA's wholly-owned subsidiary, CNA China Co. Ltd (“CNA China”) has also secured approximately S$4.9 million worth of contracts in its Information Communication Technology (“ICT”) business this month. Some of the China contracts include supplying Extra Low Voltage (“ELV”) systems to two residential projects in Beijing and Tianjin; providing an Intelligent Car Parking Management System for Capitaland’s Raffles City Chengdu; Automation and IT Master Planning for Sichuan Chengdu Lu Lake; Automation and IT Consultancy services for Guangdong Zhuhai Shizimen Central Business District as well as the upgrading of the Prison Security System for the Prison Authority in China.

Separately, CNA China is also working on an approximately S$3.7 million Engineering, Procurement and Construction (“EPC”) project that was awarded by the local subcontractor of the Group’s Dongying water and wastewater treatment project1 (“Dongying Project”). For this particular project, the Group had engaged a local subcontractor to construct the water and wastewater treatment plant and the local subcontractor subsequently re-engaged CNA China to provide ELV systems for the Dongying Project. To date, approximately S$11.2 million or 17% from the total outstanding order book is contributed by projects in China.

We've spent twenty years earning the trust of readers exactly like you. Which is exactly what makes this an interesting place for your company to show up, too.

The ways it can show up are broader than most people assume — thought leadership articles, sponsored content, industry summits across Southeast Asia, regional awards programmes, podcasts, and media placements in print and digital. The right fit depends on what you're trying to do, which is why we'd rather start with a conversation than send a rate card.

If your company has something this audience should know about, we'd like to hear what you're working on.
