Singapore-based Guinness World Record holder for artworks develops a social media app diary

The app highlights a two-minute recording feature.

Social media apps which allow users to send video messages from one user to another are all the rage now. Jumping on the bandwagon is Present, which bills itself as the first video recording diary.

Present aims to empower users to crystalize every moment with features that aims to enhance the user’s experience while preserving one’s precious moments. This Singapore-based app reinvents the way people capture and relive their memories through its ‘unique’ and ‘first-of-its-kind’ features such as the two-minute recording and Upload Later which allow users to form their timeline of moments they can keep forever.

CEO and co-founder Peter Draw, who is a holder of four Guinness World Records for his artworks, enter the world of tech with Present as his armor. Among the records he holds are the World’s Largest Caricature Drawing in 2007; World’s Largest Art Lesson in 2010; and World’s Longest Drawing by an Individual last year.

According to him, Present’s idea was born from his many travels across continents through his social enterprise, encouraging children in devastated areas through art. Peter’s encounter with a young girl from Costa Rica who lost her mother in an earthquake sparked the concept of Present as a way of encapsulating memories with loved ones.

“Present values the importance of time and wishes to pass this on to its users by never having to let any moments slip by. The app is able to capture genuine, spontaneous moments, acting as a memory bank for its users to store the moments that they want to cherish forever,” said Peter.

Some of Present’s features include the newly released Present Search, which is an intuitive means of discovering memories around the world. Peter explained that this smart and contextual feature enables users to extend their reach to memories by Location, Time and People.

Further, Present’s up to 2-minute recording time allows users to capture fleeting moments in their lives, without interrupting the moments as they happen. Also, users will not feel rushed to edit and upload them immediately with the upload-later function.

The app also offers an Access to the entire iTunes library of over 43 million songs to enhance recordings. Peter explained all videos that are recorded with the app are saved to the Present cloud, and with Full Privacy Control, users can choose which moments to share publicly or to keep private.
