MIND headquarters in Singapore for SEA expansion

The technology solutions firm, MothersonSumi INfotech & Designs Ltd. (MIND), has opened an office in Singapore at Suntec City, which will serve as the company’s headquarters in Southeast Asia.

MIND CEO Rajesh Thakur said the company has always evaluated and wanted to open an office in Singapore for their expansion being the hub for economic activities in Southeast Asia.

“Singapore will be an essential pillar in our geographic expansion strategy. As we were starting our operations in Singapore, it is crucial for us to ensure that the office is centrally located so that business interactions can be done conveniently. Thus, Suntec City was an ideal choice for us,” Thakur said via email.

“Also, Singapore for us will serve as the headquarters for the entire Southeast Asia region. As a result, we are expanding our best-in-class services to customers across Malaysia, Thailand, Indonesia, and Vietnam,” he added.

The India-based company, with more than 20 years of operations, has offices in Dubai, Germany, Japan, Spain, United Kingdom, and the United States.

The CEO said the business unit in Singapore will be offering various IT services which include digital transformation, cloud hosting and migration, next-gen IT infrastructure, smart factory automation, and digital engineering services.

They are targeting large- and medium-sized companies in the automotive, manufacturing, logistics, education, pharma, and aerospace sectors in Southeast Asia and provide them digital analytics, cloud, industry 4.0, robotic process automation, and enterprise resource planning solutions.

He also said that with the company banking on being digitally empowered and leveraging on data and analytics power for innovation and prediction, it is “well-positioned” to lead and face challenges with the digital transformation aim of their clients in Singapore.

“This is because we don't see digital as a one-time event and instead as a continuous journey to help our clients with their digital evolution,” the CEO said, noting that realizing the full potential of technology transformation requires “close integration between people, processes, and technology.” 

“Real digital or technology transformation stems from a shared vision between human brains and computer machines. But this posture of human-machine symbiosis – something that will require a massive transition in integrating technological advancements – is not yet realized by many businesses,” Thakur said.

He added that when automation is applied in different levels of the organisation, it is important to measure the firm’s automation maturity to assess “where they stand and the level of productivity they can achieve with its stage.”

In the new office, he said they will bring a “pragmatic approach towards employee engagement,” noting that MIND instils a culture that has a passion for the work and commitment for the organisation.
